Location

Lake Manyara National Park is a Tanzanian national park located both in Arusha Region and Manyara Region, Tanzania. The two administrative regions have no jurisdiction over the parks. It is located 205 km from Moshi town and 120 km from Arusha.

Itinerary

Morning Departure from Arusha/Moshi:

Our journey begins in the early hours as we depart from Arusha or Moshi, venturing towards the legendary Lake Manyara National Park. With excitement building, we set off on a scenic drive, eager to explore the wonders that await us.

Arrival at Lake Manyara National Park:

Upon reaching the gates of Lake Manyara National Park, we are greeted by the shimmering waters of the lake and the lush greenery that surrounds it. After completing entry formalities, our safari adventure officially begins.

Game Drive Through Diverse Habitats:

Embark on an exhilarating game drive through the park’s diverse habitats, including dense forests, expansive grasslands, and the picturesque shores of Lake Manyara. Keep your eyes peeled for the park’s renowned wildlife, including elephants, giraffes, zebras, and the famous tree-climbing lions.

Encounter with Wildlife:

Continue our safari adventure, exploring Lake Manyara’s highlights, including its diverse birdlife and the famous alkaline lake itself. Marvel at the flocks of flamingos wading in the shallows and the breathtaking views of the surrounding landscapes.

Afternoon Game Drive and Farewell:

As the afternoon unfolds, we embark on a final game drive through Lake Manyara National Park, bidding farewell to its inhabitants as we reluctantly begin our journey back to Arusha or Moshi. Reflecting on the day’s adventures, we carry with us memories of an unforgettable safari experience in one of Tanzania’s most scenic national parks.
